What is a "Modern Browser"?

Modern browsers are web browsers that are compatible with the latest W3C Web standards. They also must meet the general requirements to render most or all standard web content effectively and correctly. Generally, this means that the latest version of a particular browser is recommended. Below is a list of tested browser, and their recommended version.
